Amy Chapman - Artist

Amy Chapman was born in 1973 in York. Her artist talents were recognised at an early age. She went on to study at Harrogate College of Art then studied for a BA in Textile Design at the Loughborough College of Art and Design. Since graduating she has worked at a number of Universities within the Art Departments and established a number of Community Art Projects across the UK. She draws her inspiration from the British coastline, its harbours and quaint seaside villages. Her uniquely evocative images capture the moods of the sea through the combination of a distinctive colour palette and her delicate brushstrokes. Amy Chapman has extensively travelled Britain, among the towns portrayed in her captivating watercolours are Norfolk, Scotland and Cornwall.
