Andrew Craig - Artist

Andrew Craig was born in 1967 in Glasgow his family relocated to Lincoln when he was six years old. His passion for painting began when he was thirteen after his mother bought him his first set of paints. He studied art throughout his school years and worked as a graphic artist for Lincoln City Council as his first job. He went on to work on a monthly magazine for a Nottingham based Games Workshop Design studio. He met a lot of talented artists whilst working here and through them gained knowledge, advise and experience. He went on to work for a theatre design company and it was at this time he decided he wanted to embark on a full time painting career. Andrew Craig tends not to pre-plan his paintings they have a way of just happening. He catalogues his ideas so he can go back to them for a source of inspiration. He also listens to classical music whilst painting and finds this calms the soul. His favourite medium is acrylics in terms of colour, use and drying time.
