Ann Oram - Artist

Ann Oram was born in 1956 in London although she grew up in the Scottish Highlands. She was educated in Scotland and went on to attend the Edinburgh College of Art where she trained to become an artist. She was particularly inspired by her tutors at the Edinburgh School of Painters, Gillies, Anne Redpath and Sir Robin Philipson. She has exhibited in the Water-colour annual exhibition in conjunction with The Royal Scottish Society of Painters. She has also exhibited at the Scottish Gallery, The Royal Academy annual exhibition and many other prestigious galleries in the UK. During her career, Ann Oram has won many awards including, The Largo Award 1991, The Andrew Grant Travelling Scholarship 1981, The Andrew Grant Major Award 1981 and more recently the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in watercolour presented her with The May Marshall Brown Award.
