Bruce McKay - Artist

Bruce McKay grew up in Toronto and was fascinated by drawing from an early age. At the age of ten Bruce McKay was lucky enough to spend time with an artist named Ralph Abrams. Ralph Abrams was an experimenter of 'the new' as well as being a sculptor, painter and animator. Bruce McKay knew from this point on he would enter into a career within the arts. He studied colour theory, life drawing and art history in his early teens at the High School of the Arts in Toronto. After he left school he went into advertising and has won over 250 international, national and local awards for his efforts. He was then awarded the position at Saatchi & Saatchi, Canada of Creative Director. This position took up all of his energy and time so he made the decision to devote himself to his art fulltime.
