Claire Eva Burton - Artist

Claire Eva Burton studied at the Medway College of Art. She had always had a fascination with horses and racing and it is this fascination that has provided the basis for all her beautifully executed paintings. Claire Eva Burton states, "Working with racehorses was my best education...you have to be able to feel how a horse moves at speed to be able to convey that on canvas". She was commissioned at the age of 26 to paint a series of paintings for the Queen Mother's Royal Box. Following this, Claire Eva Burton exhibited in a one woman show in London at the Court Gallery. Since 1985 over 40 limited edition prints of her work have been published. Her painting ability has firmly established her reputation of a very talented equestrian artist.
