Darren Baker - Artist

Darren Baker graduated from Bradford College in 1998, soon after leaving he was fortunate to receive some very prestigious exhibition offers and commissions. At the age of 23 he exhibited in New York at the UK Millennium Show as well as being appointed The Footballer's Association official artist. His career really began to take of when he discovered his passion for still life painting. Darren Baker has exhibited his paintings both locally and nationally and has gained much praise and recognition. The International Artist Magazine made the following statement with reference to the work of Darren Baker, "Bathed in varying light conditions, he arranges and describes everyday objects with delicate sensitivity. They have a delicious attention to detail. Baker's paintings also suggest a human presence, the objects are seemingly left in a natural state yet are so artfully organized."
