Gerry Baptist - Artist

Gerry Baptist was born in 1935 in Lahore. He attended the London College of Printing and Graphic Art to study painting and graphics. He continued to paint after college whilst working for advertising agencies in the UK and Germany as an art director. His work has a Fauvist influence combined with colour, life and excitement reminiscent of his travels in Southern Europe. Gerry Baptist has a natural talent for composition and his landscapes and figurative work are vibrantly coloured. Throughout his artistic career, Gerry Baptist has always been attracted to abstracts but is now in favour of the more traditional artists subject matter, figures and landscapes. He has experimented in a variety of different media and developed a wide range of skills and new techniques although painting is his passion.
