Gordon King - Artist

Born in March, 1969 Gordon King's artistic talent and extroadinary ability was recognised in him from a young child. Whilst training at Carlton Studios in London his concentration was on figurative illustration he also studied at Reading University in painting and life drawing at this time. In his early 20's Gordon King worked for several major advertising agencies and magazines as an illustrator. Gordon King painted portraits and exhibited his work in order to build up commissions by the mid 70's moved on from illustration work to concentrate on painting with oils. Gordon King's most famous paintings / trademark are his work of painted girls in natural surroundings. He has gained his acclaim throughout the artworld with his ability to portray his subjects with atmosphere and delicacy. The year of 1999 saw Gordon King being voted 'Published Artist of the Year' and his limited editions and best selling fine art prints are highly collectable.
