Janet Treby - Artist

Janet Treby left school to start a two year course at Barnfield College, from the age of 11 she had realised that she wanted to be a professional artist. She then went on to study at West Surrey College of Art and Design in sculpture and printmaking to obtain a degree. Lastly she undertook a post graduate course at the Slade School of Fine Art in print. Janet Treby specialised in mezzotint and printmaking and lectured on both these areas. Janet Treby has won several awards for her work including the 'Elizabeth Greenshield Award' and 'The Lloyds Young Printmaker of the year'. She has also had a successful one woman show at the Curwen Gallery.
