Jeff Rowland - Artist

Jeff Rowland studied an art course at North Tyneside College. He turned professional in 1984 and became a self employed artist. He tried and tested many mediums around this time from drawing, painting to glass engraving but was always drawn towards the oil paints. He is facinated with oils probably steming from watching his grandmother using oil paint from a very early age. Jeff Rowland worked in all areas and did not use one medium to learn his craft. He went back to college to re-train as times became hard. He attended a college based in Newcastle in 2000 where he undertook a HND in advertising/illustration as a visualizer. He completed many live briefs and won the 'North East Print Association' award for his efforts. Jeff Rowland graduated and began to look for work within the arts. He exhibited his work in Northumberland where his artwork was then taken to the London Affordable where it was completely sold out within the first day. This produced a snowball effect and Jeff Rowland continues to exhibit his paintings with equal success.
