John Silver - Artist

John Silver born in Cheshire, 1959 completed a BA Honours degree in 1984. After graduating from college he started working as a retoucher in Manchester for a photographic/graphic design company. He has also worked as a commercial artist. John Silver left his position as a retoucher to follow a full time painting career specialising in wildlife. He takes every opportuntity to watch and study animals in their natural environment. John Silver spent considerable time with Alan Hunt and John Seerey-Lester both renowned wildlife artists and learnt a great deal from them providing him with invaluable knowledge thus progessing his art career. The Fine Art Trade Guild awarded him with the title 'Best Published Artist' in 1998 for his high quality, photo realistic wildlife paintings.
