John Trickett - Artist

John Trickett originally trained as an accountant and then went on to play football on a professional level. He is probably most famous for his labrador paintings. He has been described as the 'finest labrador painter in the world' by the 'Shooting Times'. He is also well known for his shooting landscapes, Norfolk scenes, Scottish Loch scenes and river and sea scapes. Trickett's abilities were not influenced by art school but 'come from within'. He won his first award in France with a labrador painting for which he received a silver medal. Limited edition plates were published by the Franklin Mint of America in 1996 of his labrador work, they too agreed with the statement that he is one of the finest labrador painters in the world. Trickett's eye for composition, colour and detail have caused his work to become collectable all over the world with works hanging in Australia, Europe, Japan and America.
