Kevin Blackham - Artist

Kevin Blackham's artistic talent was apparent from very early on. In his early school years he won a handwritting competition and through this he gained commissions from local companies for design briefs whilst continuing his schooling. Kevin Blackham attended Reigate School of Art and Design in Surrey from which he graduated with Distinction. His specialist subjects whilst at college were calligraphy and hand lettering. Kevin Blackham then went on to work in publishing, he worked on many top titles cresting book jackets. His work is described as graphic images combined with calligraphy creating an original mixed media piece. Each piece contains the innovative use of materials and different techniques creating a rich texture combining a contemporary feel with traditional forms of graphic design.
