Lawrence Coulson - Artist

Lawrence Coulson has always been surrounded by art being born into an artistic familty. His father George Coulson is one of the UK 's leading artists in avation and lanscapes. From an early age Lawrence Coulson was encouraged by his father to draw, his preferred subject being that of cars. At the age of 21 Lawrence Coulson started to paint in oils, his father sold these at the local pub enabling Lawrence to gain the necessary confidence to approach a gallery. It was the Halcyon gallery which first exhibited his work and then the Washington Green Publishers. Lawrence Coulson turned professional artist in July 1997 after many years working as a retail manager. His has toured world wide with his exhibition 'Moods' and this has gained him recognition for his talents. He was awarded the title of Best Selling Artist in 2003 by the Fine Arts Trade Guild, proving himself as a professional and going from strength to strength.
