Leonard Wren - Artist

Leonard Wren's painting career began in 1975. He had owned a commercial design business from 1964 which he closed in 1976 in order to paint on a full time basis. Classed as an Impressionist his skilled brushwork and ability to capture the essence of light has positioned him as one of America's leading Impressionist Painters. Leonard Wren paints outdoors and it is his preference to work directly from life. 'Painting outdoors is a sensual experience', Leaonard says, 'made up of not only visual experiences but also of the sounds of the birds and leaves crunching and the feel of the breeze and the sun'.
