Louise Braithwaite - Artist

Louise Braithwaite specialised in screen printing at school and this was where she discovered her love and talent for art and design. She attended Portsmouth College of Art to undertake an Art Foundation Course then went onto study a four year Media and Production Design degree. She graduated from the London College of Printing in 1981 and travelled America for several months. It was here in America where she was influenced by colour and shape which is a distinctive feature of her work today. Louise Braithwaite returned to London and embarked on a career in graphic design. She spent much of her spare time producing illustrations and handmade cards which she sold successfully through numerous retail outlets. In 1997 she decided to devote herself to art full time.
