Mark Godwin - Artist

Mark Godwin was born in 1957 in Birmingham, he began his artistic education in 1974 with foundation studies. He went on to study at the Royal College of Art in 1982 and graduated with a BA in Fine Art combined with an MA in Printmaking. He specialised in various print making disciplines whilst still continuing to draw and teach himself to paint. Following his graduation from college he worked as a plate maker and copperplate printer. During this time he was introduced through his work to many professional artists. Galleries and Dealers had already begun to take interest in his paintings so Mark Godwin devoted the majority of his time to producing his own paintings and print making projects. Mark Godwin has now relocated from London to the South coast of England which has resulted in him having more time for his painting career.
