Mark Spain - Artist

Mark Spain studied at art college he then went on to open a studio in Kent where he specialised in print making. It was the time spent at this studio which enabled him to develop and practise his collagraph and etching techniques. After the great storm in 1997, Kew Gardens commissioned Mark Spain to produce a limited edition etching of the gardens. His etchings and collagraphs have been exhibited by Mall Galleries and many of his limited editions have been published. The 20th Century British Art Fair also exhibited his work in abstract oils. Mark Spain experiments with techniques and different subjects which he then applies to a variety of images from collographs to traditional landscapes. Mark Spain is described as a creative and vigorous artist which has led him to exhibit in many one man shows and participate in numerous exhibitions across the UK
