Martin Decent - Artist

Born in Sheffield in 1954, Martin Decent achieved artistic success at the age of sixteen, one of his paintings was presented to Harold Wilson the Prime Minister, during one of his official city visits. Martin Decent continued his education and graduated college with an Honours degree. He embarked on a graphic design career with Midland Bank in 1976. By 1980 he had launched his own company which specialised in corporate presentations. As the demand for his paintings increased he split his time to encompass both painting and running his business. It has been over the last ten years that Martin Decent has become a full time artist. He had a successful one man exhibition at the Buxton Art Gallery in 1998 and is a contributor to the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
