Mick Simpson - Artist

Mick has a natural ability to produce studies of great detail and accuracy from diverse subjects as dogs, cats, wildlife and the female figure. He is happy working from reference books, his own drawings, photos and life models. Mick’s chosen media is clay giving him greater freedom. While studying at Staffordshire Polytechnic it was his home town, Stoke-on-Trent, that gave him the inspiration and his love of sculpture, some of the towns of the region are captured in his work and gives him great respect as a sculptor and designer.
