Nadeem Chughtai - Artist

Nadeem Chughtai is influenecd by the feelings, emotions and thoughts people experience similtaneously. His ideas are created from the images hes sees around him and keenly observes everyday life. Nadeem Chughtai learnt much from his early years spent working as a scenic artist, learning and experimenting with the techniques taught to him by the other artists around him at this time. He refers to these artists as the 'modern day equivalents of the renaissance masters'. Facinated by light and the atmospheric moods it can create mixed with the large faceless characters his images reflect the consumer society we all live in. Nadeem Chughtai gives his anonymous characters personality throught their posture and body language. The situations in which the charaters are placed often 'strike a chord' with people who can relate to these situations, in a way reflecting how similar people can be in many ways.
