Nicholas Watts - Artist

For Nicholas Watts, painting has always been about capturing 'that moment in time', it was the flight of an RAF squadron in early childhood that sparked this passion. Nicholas Watts grew up near Brands Hatch and watching and enjoying motorsport had a profound effect on him. As a child he drew and painted scenes of arial battles, dogfights, spitfires all which aided him in his technical drawing ability. Nicholas Watts has an unique way of bringing perspective and proportion to his work all due to his techincal drawing skills which are apparent in all his work whether the subject is endurance cars, F1, planes or sports cars. For more than twenty years Nicholas Watts has been painting professionally combining his passion for art with his love of motorsport. Many of his limited edition prints bear the names of racing drivers and team owners through their recognition of his highly respected work
