Olly James - Artist

Olly James was born and grew up in Manchester. She attended a teacher training course at Bolton Colege of Art before deciding to undertake a course in Fine Art and Graphics. Olly James moved to London to further her skills and had her big break when she started to work as a theatre set designer. She progressed up the ladder and became the head set designer and painter which involved designing the sets for the West End's major shows.In 1999 she chose to develop her talents and pursue her pleasure for painting full time. So far she has had three sell out solo shows and new found success. Her preferred medium is oil pastels which she builds up layer upon layer of colour to acheive the exceptional works we see today.
