Paine Proffitt - Artist
Paine Proffit was born to journalistic parents and it was travelling from one country to another that he believes has shaped his art and his personality. Paine Proffit was born in Arizona in 1972 and has lived in Lebanon, Kenya, Vietnam and several US states. He spent many years in Philadelphia where his family finally decided to settle. It was here in Philadelphia that Paine decided to follow a career in art. He enrolled at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence to study illustration, whilst at university he met his wife Paula McArdle a fellow British artist. Both Paula and Paine went on to study art at the University of Brighton which was Paine Proffitts' first visit to England.
