Peter Munro - Artist

Born in 1954 in the Scottish Highlands. Peter Munro became disillusioned with the art world after studying at the Chelsea School of Art in London where he gained his honours degree. After college he decided to move back to his home town in Scotland to work in his family's forestry and timer company. He continued to paint although on an amateur basis. Peter Munro was inspired by the wildlife artist Robert Bateman on a trip to Canada. It was at this point in 1987 that he decided he would like to paint on a more permanent basis and began working full time as an artist. Peter Munro is now considered one of the world's leading golf artists. His paintings feature golf courses across the UK, Royal County Down, Waterville and The Belfry to name a few.
