Rex Preston - Artist

Rex Preston spent most of his life in Derbyshire although was born in Birmingham. Rex Preston worked for a printing company in Derbyshire as an illustrator and artist following his artistic training. He is now able to devote himself to his painting full time due to the increase in popularity of his work. His inspiration comes from long walks in unspoilt and remote areas of the British countryside. Reflected light on water on ponds, the ocean, river or waterfalls is a subject he spends many hours studying. Rex Preston travels the British countryside looking for the perfect reflection or lighting to capture. Rex Preston's beautiful landcapes in oils and watercolours have earned him a respectable reputation and collectors of his work both nationally and internationally.
