Rolf Harris - Artist

Rolf Harris was born in Australia and from a very early age had always aspired to being an artist. Rolf Harris studied to become a teacher but all his free time was taken up by painting and drawing. Rolf Harris enrolled at the City and Guilds College in London which he financed by holding four exhibitions in Perth, Australia. The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition exhibited his work for two consecutive years during the mid 50's. Rolf Harris produced a television program titled 'Rolf on Art' and this gained the highest audience ratings ever for a visual arts program in 2001. Recently, the Royal Society of British Artists awarded him an honorary membership. Rolf Harris has almost a celebrity status and continues to paint, draw and exhibit his work.
