Sophie Harding - Artist

Sophie Harding was born in Swanage into an artistic family who encouraged her to follow a career in art. She studied for a diploma in Art and Design then attended Central St. Martins College and achieved a BA Hons Degree in Fashion and Textiles. During her time at college she experimented with a wide variety of different media and worked in New York for three months as a textile designer. She remained in London after graduating and stayed there for the following eleven years, she has now relocated to the coast. Sophie Harding's work is categorised as naive art and her work is published on gift wraps, greetings cards, tableware, diaries and calendars. She is also a successful illustrator of children's books and textile designs.
