Stavros Kotsireas - Artist
Athens born Stavros Kotsireas now works and lives in the UK. He majored in Painting, Drawing and Graphic Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Netherlands. Stavros Kotsireas has exhibited widely and now commands an international audience. Landscapes are typical of his work, Cyprus trees often dominate the canvas portraying the elements of nature combined with the raw energy of the artist in his emotional approach to landscape painting. The landscapes of Stavros Kotsireas have been described by an Athena Schina (Art Critic & Historian) as 'bodies with a rhythm of observation and recollection of exploration of the subconscious and the daydream'.
