Viatcheslav Plotnikov - Artist

Viatcheslav Plotnikov was born and brought up in Russia. He has always had a passion for art and knew from a young age that he wanted to pursue a career in art. He studied for several years at the Surikov Institute of Art, he was one of the precious few along with the Master of the Surikov Institute that were allowed to travel through Europe after the Soviet Union was sealed off from Western Europe. Viatcheslav Plotnikov now lives in southern Europe. He is predominantly a figurative artist although the studies he made of the Great Masters canvasses, back in his youth, can be clearly identified.
