Caroline Shotton - Sculpture

Early sources of inspiration for Caroline Shottons's diverse work came from the old masters. Growing up on the outskirts of London the open countryside and the easy access to art galleries were also a great influence. Throughout her education Caroline Shotton strived for perfection and her studies at Central Saint Martins introduced her to new techniques and ideas. Caroline Shotton was introduced to the major art eras at college and she was particularly inspired by impressionism and surrealism, elements of which are apparent in her work today.
