Gary Hodges - Sculpture

Gary Hodges is recognised as Britain's leading wildlife pencil artist, born in 1954 he has had a passion for nature since childhood. The viewers attention is demanded through his striking images, his combination of technical ability with an understanding of the subjects' character results in his remarkable work. Gary Hodges works on small areas at a time, painstakingly building up layers of textures and tones with many different grades of pencil. The textures he is able to create from dry scales to fluffy fur is extraordinary. The original drawings by Gary Hodges appear regularly at Christies wildlife auctions, fetching very high prices.
