Wu Ching Ju - Sculpture

Wu Ching Ju was born in the rural area of Fonglin, Taiwan. Growing up she was fascinated by Chinese ancient traditions and studied oriental humanities in school. She relocated to America aged 22 and was then introduced to an old Chinese artist who taught her about Chinese legends and culture and also how to draw and paint. Wu Ching Ju moved to Holland in 1993, she wanted to master western techniques so she enrolled in art classes. It was at these classes she was introduced to sculpture and has been captivated by it ever since. Wu Ching Ju is classed as a Contemporary Chinese painter and sculptor and her excitement stems from fusing together elements of Western and Chinese cultures.
